Travel Clothes

I’ve overpacked and I’ve underpacked. I’ve had clothes that were a wrinkled mess and shoes that made my feet ache. I understand it can be a dilemma to pack smart and light while still maintaining a fashion standard. That’s why I stand by these tried and true favorite places for travel clothes. I rarely travel without my favorites from these brands, and because they are my go-to’s, it makes packing a cinch.

Travel Clothes

I’m a big Athleta fan for traveleisure! Their clothes are good quality, pack well, and don’t wrinkle; plus their price point won’t freak you out if you accidentally leave them behind in a hotel room. Over the years I have had an assortment of their travel pants in all different lengths, cuts, and cuff-width. Some are more sporty but they also have a good selection that you can dress up for the evening. I also really like their tanks and shirts for travel, and their turtlenecks in the winter for a ski trip or a winter city tour. Their styles names and minor details seem to change every year with what looks are trending, so the best bet is to go into a store and see what you like and what fits best. They also usually have a nice selection of colors. I tend to stick with black, navy, and khaki when I travel but sometimes it’s also nice to have a flare of red, maroon, or forest green in the winter or orange and bright blues in the summer to add variation.

Another company I regularly shop for travel is Prana. If you are doing any sort of hiking, their shorts and pants are cute, durable, and comfortable. For a Europe trip in the summer their sundresses can’t be beat–they are stylish and practical and often have built in bras, which is great for the heat. And if you are going on a beach vacation, Prana always has sturdy, athletic-capable suits for all your water pursuits as well as some practical wraps. My husband and twenty-something son also love Prana pants, shorts, and suits for wear all year round.
